This was clearly demonstrated in his latest win, by standing TKO over Spain's top striker, to gain his Welterweight Championship belt (see video below). Most important, Edson is keenly aware that today's MMA is as much about pleasing the fans, as it is about winning the fight. In that regard, he is an electrifying showman, energizing crowds with his dramatic entries, and vicious non-stop approach to fighting. Edson presently resides in Spain, where he trains as a professional MMA fighter, and has positioned his Gracie Barra Marbella MMA/Jiu-Jitsu academy as one of the dominant schools on the continent, having produced champions at both the Spanish and European levels, and presently boasting a team of undefeated MMA fighters.
